Worship at FBC
At First Baptist Church of Springfield, Sunday worship is where hearts open—connecting us to God, to one another, to ourselves, and to the eternal. Our worship is a vibrant, Spirit-led expression of faith and community. We embrace a variety of musical styles, from beloved selections in the pew hymnals to contemporary worship songs projected on screen, creating space for everyone to engage. Whether you're exploring faith or seeking a deeper sense of belonging, we invite you into a welcoming environment where tradition meets creative expression. Together, we are equipped, inspired, and transformed into loving followers of Jesus, faithfully witnessing to the rule and reign of God.
Worship Services
Everyone is welcome to worship at First Baptist Church. We believe that each person who joins us is created by God, in God's image, and your presence and participation in worship deepens our encounter with the Spirit, empowering us to live into the fullness of life together.

Musical Diversity
Our worship includes a blend of styles led by individual worship leaders, our Ladies Ensemble, Men's Ensemble, and Praise Team. We also encourage members to share their instrumental gifts during our services.

Attire
Our congregation dresses in a range of styles, from formal to informal, reflecting our belief that worship is about seeking the mind of Christ as community rather than outward appearance.

Cultural and Philosophical References
Sermons contain insights from a wide spectrum of thinkers, from philosophers like Kant and Hegel to contemporary thinkers such as Lecrae, Hulvey; traditional theologians like Barth and Tillich to contemporary ones like Kendrick Lamar and Rapsody. This diversity of perspectives enhances our understanding of faith and its relevance to life today.
