Home to Girl Scout Troop 35017
First Baptist Church Springfield hosts Girl Scout Troop 35017 each week. Girls from five different city schools and various socio - economic backgrounds gather to explore the world, and focus on building Confidence, Courage, and Character. The troop is a mixed level group with Daisies, Brownies, and Cadettes. The girls focus on community service, business relations building, and organization and planning. In 2015, girls from the troop were able to send over 330 boxes of Girl Scout cookies directly to troops serving in the US Military over seas. They accomplished this through hard work and exploration of best practices in business management and community service.
Currently the troop is at capacity and cannot accept any new Girl Scouts, however, interested families can contact Shannon Meadows, troop leader, and she will help coordinate information regarding other local troop opportunities. You can contact her via email at troop35017@gmail.com
